Helicon. A stream, of inspiration. I walked through the spring mountains over Mount Pisgah. on the mountain to sea trail, crossed the lines of national park into wilderness, and felt wild, wide open and entirely liberated, why and how did it take me so long to walk out here and meet you America, sleep out here, wake out here. The flowers were bursting forth from the earth, irises in three different forms and so many new species I couldn't know in my new land. I felt at home finally. In your trees, in glades, by streams and winding rocky paths with light beans slung through strong upward reaching and newly leafed branches. Ah I could stretch up too, not a corner in sight, nothing manmade, and i suddenly remembered being eighteen again standing in Greece at Mount helicon, the sea breeze coming up to meet me and softly blow my to the sides and the rustle of summer leaves in the trees, and the streams of inspiration at arms reach.
